Faceless boy by Haskin

This tattoo shows a faceless figure in a shirt and tie, seated at a table, with coins or tokens in front of him. The black and gray tattoo is placed on the client's thigh and was created by Haskin in Leipzig. The approximate price for a tattoo of this complexity and size is around €250. Tattoo prices are subject to variations based on the motif's size, the intricacy of the design, its placement on the body, and the artist's experience level. The faceless figure motif often explores themes of anonymity, identity, and the human condition. It can represent a universal everyman, a blank slate onto which personal experiences and emotions are projected, or a commentary on the loss of individuality in modern society. This imagery can also symbolize introspection and the inner self, where the absence of facial features encourages a deeper look beyond superficial appearances. In some contexts, it may touch upon feelings of alienation or the desire to remain unseen, allowing the viewer to fill in the emotional void with their own interpretations. The tattoo incorporates elements from several styles. Black & Gray tattooing relies solely on black ink, diluted to create various shades of gray, allowing for smooth transitions and depth without using other colors. New School is characterized by heavy outlines, vibrant colors (though not present here), exaggerated features, and cartoon-like imagery, often with a playful or whimsical feel. Traditional, also known as Old School, features bold black outlines, a limited color palette (typically red, green, yellow, and blue, though absent in this black-only piece), and classic motifs such as anchors, swallows, or hearts.
